Last weekend, the University of Maryland School of Law held their 3rd Annual Black Alumni Reunion & Symposium. With the theme, “The Black Law Student Association: 45 Years of Service, Support & Friendship,” the celebration kicked off with a reception hosted by Dean Phoebe Haddon, who is serving her final year as head of the law school. Saturday’s symposium featured a presentation by Professor Taunya Banks, “Still Drowning in Segregation: The Baltimore Swimming Pools.
